A two years field study was conducted to evaluate the yield and yield components response of five barley cultivars to different cycocel (CCC) concentrations in College of Agriculture, Shiraz University during 2011-12 and 2012-13 growing seasons. This study was carried out as a split plot experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replicates. The treatments included cycocel concentration in three levels: 0 (water, as control), 2 and 4 g L-1 as main factor and five barley cultivars including Viktoria, Reyhane, Jonoub, Gorgan and Valfajr as sub factor. Cycocel was applied foliarly at mide-tillering (ZGS=2) using a precision sprayer. The results showed that CCC-treated plants had higher ear length, thousand grain weight, grain number per ear, biological and grain yield, as well as, harvest index. Application of CCC at 4 g L-1 had greater effect on growth and yield of all five barley cultivars. There was considerable variation in cultivars response to CCC application, so that Reyhane and Gorgan cultivars showed the highest and the lowest responses to CCC foliar application, respectively. Based on the results of this two years field study, Reyhane cultivar with 4 g L-1 CCC application could be recommended for similar climatic conditions.
